Seamus Doyle

Information Services Director

Welcome to the Information Service Website. I am responsible for all the IT and Library Services within Queen’s.

Information Services provides the digital campus and Library Resources to support teaching, research and innovation for all the University's students, staff and visitors. Our primary objective is to provide the highest quality user-facing services and associated enabling functions.

The team is based in the McClay Library and is organised into four main areas

  • Library Services
  • IT Systems and Services
  • Learning and Teaching Support
  • Administration Support
Prior to joining Queens I was CIO at NI Water and served as IT Director with BT Ireland and Programme Director for BT Group. I am passionate about delivering excellent customer service and a strong interest in IT operations and security, information systems development, systems design, and information assurance. I had the pleasure of studying Aeronautical Engineering and a MSc in Computer Science at Queens University a ‘few’ years ago and enjoy completing my education of Library Service under the expert tutelage of the fabulous Library team at Queen’s.
