Dear Graduate
Congratulations! After all the months and years of hard work, today is your big day! It’s a day to be proud of your success, a day to share with friends and family and, most importantly, a day to relax and enjoy yourself!
When you graduate you become a member of the Queen’s alumni network of over 100,000 graduates living in 127 countries. This network is managed by the Development and Alumni Relations Office at Queen’s and helps graduates like you stay connected with each other - wherever life’s journey takes you.
Whether you are looking for the perfect job or want to go on to further study, the Careers Employability and Skills Service at Queen’s can help you make informed decisions about your career choices and take steps to realise your career goals.
You can retain your official university email address to use on job applications, or to keep connected, by accessing our “Email for Life” service.
If you plan to stay in Belfast you can join the Library and the Physical Education Centre (PEC) at specially reduced rates and there are details of all the other alumni benefits available to you inside this pack.
Today you also become eligible for membership of graduate associations. Through such networks around the world you can socialise with old friends, meet other graduates, remain a part of a worldwide community, and earn discounts from local retailers and national names using our Perks Directory of money-saving offers. Wherever you go you will find people who recall nights in the Students’ Union, afternoons in the quad, Freshers’ Weeks, or hot sunny days when you couldn’t get away from the library!
