Anniversary Prize for Queen's Health Service partnership
Northern Ireland's Comprehensive Cancer Services programme - a major partnership between Queen's University and Health and Social Care services, which has led to improved survival rates for patients - is being honoured by Her Majesty the Queen. More >>

An enterprising academic from Queen's University Management School has won a prestigious national award. David Gibson, a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Queen's University Management School, received the Most Innovative Teacher of the Year title at the Times Higher Education (THE) awards ceremony in London. The Queen's University of Belfast Foundation held a dinner in support of the Institute of Health Sciences on 25 October in New York. The event was successful in raising the profile of Queen's and funding for the new Institute of Health Sciences. More >>

 

Queen's scientists win grant to improve Alzheimer's diagnosis
Scientists at Queen's University are embarking on a promising study that could improve the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, thanks to a £30,000 grant from Alzheimer's Research UK, the UK's leading dementia research charity.

Queen's Charter Day dinner kicks off festive season - 2 November
This year's Charter Day Dinner at Queen's was a resounding success. The Right Hon the Lord Kerr of Tonaghmore, a well-known figure in the legal world and eminent Queen's alumnus, was the keynote speaker at the glamorous black tie dinner. Read more

City Leadership Group's success in the City - 10 November
Professor Sir Peter Gregson, Vice-Chancellor, Queen's University hosted a very successful City Leadership Group event in the Library at JP Morgan, London. Guest speaker was Dr Alan Gillespie, CBE, the highly regarded international banker. Read more

1966 Medical Reunion - 3 September
The medical class of 1966 held their 45th reunion in the Hawthorne Hotel, Salem, Massachusetts, USA. Thirty-six people attended with many travelling from as far as Thailand, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Canada, USA, The Netherlands and Bermuda. Read more

1991 Law Reunion - 30 September
The Class of 1991 Law Reunion took place on 30 September 2011.The day commenced with a bus tour of Belfast which was a brilliant 'ice-breaker' and a re-introduction to the city. Read more

Soccer Club Reunion 50 Years On!
Queen's graduate Brian Caul is organising a reunion dinner for Queen's Soccer Club members who were at the University between the years of 1960 to 1965. It will celebrate the successful Collingwood Cup years when the team managed to win the trophy on four occasions! The event has been pencilled in for June 1, 2012 in the Canada Room.
