Foundation Board

The purpose of The Queen's University of Belfast Foundation is to advance the strategic goals and objectives of Queen's University under the direction of an international, independent Foundation Board. The Foundation Board's primary function is to generate financial support for the University's capital development programme and academic initiatives.

The work of the Foundation is consistent with the University's purpose, as set out in its Mission Statement:

'To provide the widest possible access to learning through international excellence in teaching and research in an environment of equality, tolerance and mutual respect, thereby enhancing educational, economic, social and cultural development in Northern Ireland and throughout the world'.

For over 150 years Queen's graduates have been leaders in business, the arts, sciences and government; and its academics have led the world in research, teaching and learning which have helped transform people's daily lives. The funds generated by the Foundation will ensure that our community can compete with the best around the world by giving our students the tools they need to maximise their potential in an environment which encourages international excellence.
