Fees and Living Costs

Queen's offers lower tuition fees and living expenses than many other similarly well-regarded UK universities.

If you are enrolling on a programme which lasts more than one year, you will pay the same fixed-rate tuition fee each year. Tuition fee rates and payment options.

If you require a visa to come to the UK, you are granted it on condition that you can pay your tuition fees and living expenses (for you and your family) without having to depend on finding work in the UK.  Current regulations state that a single student studying outside London must be able to show funds of at least £600 per month to cover living expenses.  Family costs are additional.

The International Student Calculator website may help you to plan and manage your money for your studies in the UK, although please be aware that costs of living may vary slightly from region to region.

Northern Ireland is recognised by the British Council as having the lowest cost of living in the UK.  We estimate, as a guide, that you should allow between £5500 and £7000 to cover your personal expenses for one year (in addition to tuition fees).

Rates for University accommodation can be found in the Stay at Queen's Accommodation website.
