Applying for Science Bridge

Eligibility

Students must be in their final year of study for a Masters degree, or a five year Bachelor degree, in one of the following subject areas:

  1. Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering , or related discipline
  2. Civil Engineering, Structures, Structural Materials, or related discipline

Students should demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and satisfactory English proficiency for PhD study at a leading UK university. Excellent references are important, especially from the Chinese partners involved in the Science Bridge projects.

How to apply for a Science Bridge Award (QSBA)

  1. You should first contact one of the Science Bridge Project Investigators to register your application for the Science Bridge Award

  2. Alongside step one, you should also apply online for admission for postgraduate study at Queen’s University by visiting the application portal: https://pg.apply.qub.ac.uk/home
  3. You should contact your Chinese supervisor and apply for a maintenance scholarship (to cover living costs for the duration of your award) from the Chinese Scholarship Council. Its website is http://www.csc.edu.cn/
