MSc Finance student

I am from Henan province in the north of China. I graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2006 with Bachelor's degree and later got Master's degree from Tsinghua University in 2009.

In my opinion, Queen's University is an international university where people can share ideas and topics with top professors and students from other countries. Professors pay much attention to students and the cooperation with international community is frequent. Also, Queen's University provides students with the latest facilities and various training.

Yang Hong

Undergraduate Finance student, Queen's University Management School

I arrived in Belfast seven months ago. Belfast is a lovely city, I think people here are a lot kinder than in other parts of the UK. The city is a very peaceful place to live and study.

Now that I am here I think I made the right choice, I think it is the best city for studying in the UK.  After I finish my undergraduate degree in Finance I want to do a postgraduate course at Queen’s University and stay here in Belfast.I think Queen’s is a very good uiversity.

I’m really enjoying my life here in Belfast and would suggest to other students in China that they should come here to study as it has a very nice atmosphere.

I have been studying at Queen's University for three years; and I have fallen in love with this lovely city. People are nice and friendly and not discriminating.   As an international student, you can practice your English language with the local people.  My supervisor is also a good support and supports my ideas as well as being a logical guide.  Here, there are different study methods compared with those of the Chinese tradition. Postgraduate training courses are provided to postgraduate students, to help and support studies, examples for these are developing the personal skills, including the effective personal management, communication skill, and academic knowledge.

Furthermore, the facilities offered by Queen's University, are very modern - like the new library, and Physical Education Centre, - and offer the great benefits to all students.

I made the right choice to study at Queen's University Belfast.
