The International House, Grant House at Queen’s is home to many international students from many different cultures and backgrounds. It is a safe, comfortable and neutral environment for international students to live and socialise together. It tends to be favoured by undergraduate and single semester students. Accommodation here is in standard single study bedrooms (standard rooms have a wash basin, but students share a bathroom).
Elms Village
We offer dedicated zoned accommodation blocks in Elms Village, with modern single study bedrooms with en suite or standard (share a bathroom) facilities. We are able to allocate blocks to keep postgraduates or mature students separate from undergraduates, and if you wish we can house students together who are travelling from an overseas school. Let us know your preferences on your application.
Living at Elms Village means you’ll get the chance to mix with a broad range of students in an attractive community within easy walking distance of the main University campus.
Whatever the type and length of your chosen course, our Student Accommodation team will help solve your problem of where to live. We can offer accommodation in Elms Village whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate or mature international student.
Queen’s Houses
If you’re a postgraduate international student who wants a more independent way of living, combined with peace of mind and security enjoyed by all students in Queen’s owned accommodation, you ‘ll find that Queen’s Houses offer ideal accommodation to suit your needs.
They are based at Mount Charles, College Gardens, 76 Malone Road, and Guthrie House.
Guthrie House is in large apartments of approximately 14 standard rooms but does have has separate accommodation for male and female students. Mount Charles is favoured by mature international students travelling alone.
All Queen’s Houses are within a few minutes’ walk of the University, including the catering outlets.
All Queen's University owned accommodation is fully furnished and heated single study bedrooms. The houses have modern kitchens, as well as microwaves, weekly cleaning of communal areas during core teaching periods and access to a payphone. Most have a common room and dining area.
