Born in Bangalore, Dr Yakkundi obtained his BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Organic Chemistry at the Ramnarain Ruia College, University of Bombay. He completed his PhD at the University of Mysore.
His post-doctoral research fellowships began at Queen’s in the School of Veterinary Sciences ( 2000 – 2005) and from 2005 until the present time in the School of Pharmacy.
His current research area includes bioanalysis, pharmacokinetics and off-label drugs in paediatrics.
