Boyd McCleary
British High Commissioner to Malaysia

"A product of Queen's myself, I was delighted to learn that Queen's has a really strong reputation in Malaysia. There are hundreds of alumni, many of whom have reached very senior positions in government, business and academia. One became Finance Minister, another the first female Vice-Chancellor in the country. But Queen's has not rested on its laurels. It has rather sought out new ways to engage with Malaysia, partnering with local universities in delivering undergraduate programmes and also developing exciting research links. Queen's relationship with Malaysia reached a new level with the award this year of an Honorary Doctorate to His Majesty The King. I am confident that the links between Malaysia and the university will continue to go from strength to strength."
