A range of scholarships are available to students from the United States.
Each year Queen’s University offers a limited range of scholarships for international students applying to postgraduate taught programs (i.e. Master’s degree). Information for students applying for 2011 entry should be available in November. Check back for more information or contact the International Office (international@qub.ac.uk) for more details.
Queen's University Management School is also offering eight MSc scholarships for students from international markets, including China, Malaysia, India and the United States, enrolling on full-time postgraduate taught programmes for entry in September 2010. A number of other scholarships are also available. The Mitchell Scholars programme is a national competitive fellowship sponsored by US-Ireland Alliance. Named in honour of former US Senator and former Chancellor at Queen's, George Mitchell, the programme is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognising and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership and a commitment to public service and community.
Up to 12 Mitchell Scholars, between the ages of 18 and 30, are chosen annually for one year of postgraduate study in any discipline offered by institutions of higher learning in Ireland and Northern Ireland. For more information click here.
Marshall Scholarships
Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to 40 scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study. More information is available here
Fulbright Scholarships
The Fulbright Commission offers a selection of awards for US citizens looking to study in the United States and for US citizens coming to the United Kingdom. Click here for more details
